There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as everybody's lifestyles and preferences are unique. However, there are certain activities that lead to a healthier and happier lifestyle. Studies show that the right type of exercise is number one on the list!
Regular physical activity strengthens your heart and lungs while boosting your energy levels. Exercise also helps to reduce stress and elevate your mood. That’s because when you exercise your body releases endorphins, the ‘feel good’ chemicals. At the same time, the stress hormone cortisol is reduced.
Whilst essential, regular exercise isn’t the only key to living longer. Getting the right nutrients, keeping your brain active and enjoying yourself are just a few of the other considerations. Our Longevity coaches support you by taking all aspects into account.
The Longevity experience is built around a 35 minute physical circuit, but there much more to it than that as we have a strong focus on all the factors that contribute to longevity:
● Bioage. We assess your bioAge, which is usually different from your chronological age and develop a health plan based on your results. We do this in two ways:-- A functional fitness age using our highly specialised electro-magnetic resistance training machines - don't worry they don't bite!
- Optional DNA & epigenetics analysis which gives you a scientifically accurate bioAge
● Muscular strength, with particular emphasis on lower body strength.
● Gut health. We focus on nutrition and pre and probiotics.
● Cellular health. making sure your omega-3 and omega-6 are in balance - for optimal health they should be in a ratio of 1:3.
● Sunshine. Getting enough vitamin D is essential for your overall health. We advise you how to make sure you are getting enough.
● Coming soon…Cognitive fitness. Your physical and cognitive health are intrinsically linked. In time we add cognitive health to your plan.
Incorporating different types of exercise, such as resistance training, into your routine can help you stay motivated and stick to your health plan. And there’s no need to pressurise yourself into spending hours at the gym. The secret is to make small changes as a regular part of your routine. We understand your time is precious, which is why we suggest personal fitness training for just 35 minutes twice a week at the Longevity Lounge in Milton Keynes.
Despite popular belief, research indicates that strength training is a more effective approach for toning and weight reduction than lengthy cardio sessions and is especially important for Longevity. At Longevity wellness coaching in Milton Keynes, we encourage exercising that supports your overall fitness and vitality. Incorporating strength resistance training into your routine supports a healthy heart, protects your joints, and even helps prevent diseases such as type 2 diabetes.
To begin with, our Longevity coaches will set up a resistance-based circuit tailored to your fitness goals. The circuit is simple, safe, and effective to use.
After your first session, our coaches will assist you in setting up the machines.. All the information you need is stored on your own personal card and is remembered every time you use the equipment. The machine adjusts itself to your personal requirements, so you don't have to remember what to do or how to do it!
Everybody is different, but when you make positive changes in your life, you can expect to feel fitter and stronger within weeks. We recommend committing to 35 minutes of exercise twice a week and following the wellness programme our Longevity coaches have developed with you.
Within a matter of weeks most people find that they sleep better, feel more energetic and happier in themselves. A whole wealth of studies have been conducted on the links between physical fitness and improved sleep and brain health.

You can take out a monthly membership at Longevity for as little as £49.50 per month. This gives you unlimited access to the Longevity studio and our Longevity coaches. To make sure you have the best chance of achieving your goals, all memberships have a minimum contract period of 6 months. After that, we automatically roll over your membership on a month-by-month basis.
